Dave Marchand has been a trial attorney for more than 25 years. He’s successfully handled hundreds of personal injury cases, and a wide variety of other matters, including cases that involved car and truck wrecks, construction injuries, chemical spills and exposure, manufacturing plant injuries, airplane crashes, defective jet engines and flight control software, construction defects, railroad grade crossing collisions, premises defects, shootings and negligent security, vicious dog attacks, Whistleblower fraud, commercial disputes, commercial class actions, probate disputes, and more than a hundred medical malpractice, drug and medical device claims. He’s also handled cases involving defective seat belt systems, defective throttle controls, and exploding e-cigarette devices. Dave has represented infants, children, adults and senior citizens who have suffered brain damage, paralysis, paraplegia, quadriplegia, blindness, stroke, heart attack, broken bones and other orthopedic injuries, chemical burns, as well as the financial harm and psychological and emotional injuries that accompany physical injuries.
Dave also provides legal counsel and representation to small businesses, non-profits, private clients, and family trusts, addressing their transactional, regulatory, and litigation needs.
Before attending law school, Dave worked as an aeronautical design engineer with North American Aircraft in Los Angeles, focusing on computational fluid dynamics and wind tunnel testing of advanced military aircraft. He also managed teams of engineers and scientists working on, among other projects, supersonic flight tests funded by NASA conducted at Edwards Air Force Base in California. Dave was one of the original aerodynamic designers of the X-31A experimental fighter aircraft.
Dave married his wife, Leanna, 29 days after their first date. They have five children and six grandchildren. When he’s not working on his cases Dave enjoys muscle cars, motor sports and hiking and backpacking in the Rockies and Sierras.
